Anyone else doing this? Got level 1 for Christmas so pretty excited! Any tips?
Did level 1 before Xmas. You'll have a ball. Its a 7am start so see if you can stay down there the night before.
It's freaking awesome! As above, you'll be up a sparrows fart, so try and stay over the night before so you're fresh on the day.
- make sure your leathers are in check! (gloves, boots, jacket, pants) helmets in good nick (hasn't been dropped) and if you can, a back protector
- get quality tyres, maybe not slicks, but soft tyres. you want them!
- stay overnight somewhere on the island
- take notes
- make sure your bike is in check (no leaks ect)
have fun! i did mine on the 21/11/11 was ****ing epic.
Only problem I may have is a leak from my clutch cover gasket. I can't get one delivered for 3 weeks...
if you have an oil leak, the hire bikes are good if a bit exxy! gsxr600's with slicks.
jealous! thinking about doing some later in the year..
Just bought new leathers today. Thank god for boxing day sales - Alpinestars tx1 suit for $550!!
how bad a leak is it? patch it with some sealant? try and do something about it or they may notice it in their inspection and not let you ride your bike.
Yeah I know mate. It's enough of a leak to be noticeable... I've tried patching it to no avail so am sweating it out hoping that I can get a new gasket when Kawasaki reopens next Tuesday.
I'll be doing level 1 on the same day. I'm on the red VFR800. Good luck fixing the oil leak.
Thanks Danny. I'm on a zx9r. I'll introduce myself
Looking forward to it.
This sounds like fun, where is it?
Anyone send a link or something to read up on?
