Stuck Fork "Slider Bushings"

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by Alexy23, Jul 2, 2011.

  1. I am having issues whilst I was maintaining my fork seals last night.

It seems the little copper ring (which is an arse to get out) will now not go back in.

I have not placed it round the inner tube to give you an idea of what is happening.

I have tried freezing it. Tried lubing the hell out of it but it feels like it needs a lot of force to go in, i.e. I can hammer it but then I fear I will get 9/10 of the way and it will not go any further.

Does anyone have suggestions towards this?

    NB: This fork was leaking.
