Strong Fuel smell.

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by beeke, May 29, 2005.

  1. Since I brought my CBR home this week, and put in the garage, it has been stinking out the whole house, as we are trying to sell the house, it is a bit of an issue!

there is a small amount of fuel (not enough to be dripping on the ground or anything) running down the side of the motor. I took the fuel tank off and air cleaner out, and it appears to be coming from either number 2 or 3 carby, I think, any ideas?

also, how is the cylidners numbered, from left of the bike to right, or vise versa?
  2. I don't pretend to know the answer but would turning the feul tap off over night help at all?
Not a solution, I know, but maybe a work around.
  3. I tried that, but my fuel tap isn't working, so it just kept on running!
