Hi. I've had my learners for around seven months now, but only last month finally got myself a bike. On the weekend I try to get out and practice and I'm concerned I may be starting to develop some bad habits with regards to stopping at intersections. When I approach an intersection, when close to the corner, after checking it is safe to stop, I pull in the clutch and change down to first gear. Then, keeping the clutch in, I apply both brakes until I stop. Is this sequence of steps right, wrong or indifferent? If wrong, why? The reason I thought it could be wrong is because it is a bit different to the sequence I used at practice sessions at HART when I did quick stops. Thanks for anyone's advice, the more I can stop bad habits from forming the better.
