  1. I was reading in Australian motor Cycle News this month that Riders who are not wearing appropriate clothing (boots, gloves, leathers) when they have an accident may find that the the TAC will try and reduce the compensation it pays to the rider due to the riders contribution to the seriousness of their injuries, EVEN IF THE RIDER DID NOT CONTRIBUTE TO THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT.

    Apparently they can argue that if your not wearing protective clothing, your injuries are likely to be worse as a result of your inactions and the TAC may argue that your partially responsible.
