Squeeky exup?

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by snuff3r, Aug 22, 2011.

  1. From the day I collected my Daytona 675, a month ago, I get a squeek from the bottom rear of the bike when i put on any power, at about the 4k rev mark. At first I thought it was the suspension or the swingarm but it didn't seem related to bumps or movement in the connections.

After taking it to the shop for it's first service, they're telling me that it's the exhaust valve (the exup?) and that it's completely normal and that I can't do anything about it.

It's annoying as hell. Is it normal for it to squeek like that or should i take it to another dealer?
  2. i get it too pull your baffle out and you wont here it anymore
