That third shot in the first lot you took Grange I remember seeing it on telly Nick Maxwell should have marked and he went the punch, he had time to mark that.
Great shots and looks like you were close to the action.
local AFL Cairns
Reds V Crusaders
Cairns Thunder v Tvl
Saints v Tas
Can I ask what lenses you guys used to take those shots? I tried to take a (relatively small and compact) 70-300VR zoom into the football last trip and got knocked back.
I was actually working so had media accreditation the usual is basically a point and shoot, Tennis Australia nothing over a 200 most fooball either code lucky to get in with a dslr don`t take as gospel what I would do is phone club/ground and find out what there policy is.
Policy at Dairy Farmers for instance no DSLR unless you have media accreditation.
At the mcg they don't really care but it's different at etihad I used an old 200mm pentax telephoto screw on with an adapter.
Tapatalking from somewhere, maybe even behind you so look out!!!
I was using a Pentax K200d with a 70-300 zoom.
Leave them in there cases, put in a bag with a blanket, then when they look in bag for glass bottles, cans, e.t.c., I just tell them there is only a blanket and camera.
Thanks, I have season tickets on the boundary line for both ANZ and the SCG.
Cool photos Grange. Love seeing my bloods
I haven't ever thought to brung my camera to an AFL match. Maybe next time we get member seats, I'll take my 800mm down!
