Sports mufflers

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by GADGET, Mar 12, 2006.

  1. Gidday all, my first post here on netrider.
Have just purchased a new Yammy XVS100A but the thing is way too quiet.
I'm now looking for a pair of mufflers with noise or modify my stock ones.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the Forums

You got a heap of choices out there. First up try google. Then maybe go to your dealer (seeing it is a new bike) and see what they suggest.

You can either drill out the existing baffles - might work, might not. Plus you can never put them on again if you fail noise test or next owner wants originals.

Or you can just buy slip-ons, and replace just the rear part of the exhaust.

Or you can get a whole new exhaust system.

I got Vance and Hines - very happy with them. I am unsure what model you got but you can check out www.vanceandhines.com and see if your model is there.

Here is someone located in Brisbane who has some nice looking pipes for a Yamaha on this page:
