Thought you may all enjoy seeing a few photos of where I was handing out a few weeks ago. As part of a 3000km round trip a mate and I spent a week racing a Skyteam Ace 50cc and Yamaha YL1 100cc motorbike on Australia's Lake Gairdner at the Annual DLRA Speed Week Salt Lake racing event.

We set records in the 50cc and 100cc Modified Production categories, but more importantly we had a ball meeting everyone there and checking out some incredible race vehicles, from handmade streamliners to twin turbo postie bikes!

Anyway, here's a few photos from the event:

  2. Cool. Thanks.
  3. I hate you.

On my bucket list to get a small capacity bike and develope it for this.

It's good to see lake Gairdner back in action. It was too wet for quite a few years there.
  4. Yeah - got given my 3rd copy of the "Worlds fastest Indian" on the weekend, It's a sign! To quote Jeremy Clarkson "How hard can it be?"
  5. Well worth the trip for anyone thinking about it. There are a good few safety hurdles to jump with any vehicle entered but they are all laid out for you in the event manual, nothing insurmountable. It was our first time over, and being so far away and such an adventure we thought we may as well go all in and compete rather than just spectate. A lot of work but well worth it for an incredible experience.
