speed bumps, Midland Link Highway southbound

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' at netrider.net.au started by jrh001, Oct 23, 2011.

  1. Just before the Midland Link Highway meets the Maroondah Highway (travelling south from Benalla).

There are three speed bumps to alert traffic to slow down before the T-intersection. (You'd only need to be alerted if not paying attention to warning signs.)

These bumps are really harsh on a bike. Average speed at that point is around 80kph slowing down from 100kph and it's difficult to hit them at a slower speed if traffic is following. The design might work for trucks and cars but it's not bike friendly.
