  1. Hi fellow Netriders,

Up for sale regretfully is a Yamaha Virago 250 (1997 model). As the pictures show, the bike has been extremely cared for and properly looked after. Posting on behalf of my cousin, who is selling the bike.

The bike has just a tick over 10,000 kilometers, and is extremely low for the year it was made. Has hardly been riden all its life, and taken care by a fussy owner.

Recently, the bike was serviced with a standard Oil and Filter change, and also had both sparkplugs changed, along with a brake fluid flush of the front and back brake systems (at 10,000 kilometers). The bike is unbelievably reliable, starts first time, every time, has only been run on BP 98 octane fuel, and looks classic as well. The painted sections of the bike (tank, front and rear fenders) have been frequently waxed and polished, along with all the chrome sections recieving many polishes and cleans. The bike presents for itself!

Negotiable for the right buyer, time wasters will not be replied to. This is a fantastic first bike, as a learner, or even a daily commuting bike, or simply a weekender! This is one of the easiest motorcycles to ride, and would make a fantastic learner or LAMS approved bike.

Reviews of the Virago 250 all over the internet rave about its low seat height, its ease-of-use, and most importantly, its fantastic engine and performance for many, many years.

The bike has registration expiring the 2nd May, this year, and will come with a Roadworthy (RWC) certificate for the next owner. Both these are negotiable also, for the right buyer(s). Also comes with a set of genuine Cowhide leather saddle-bags, which are black in color (removed for photos).

Asking $3000, with all of the above, and again, negotiable to the right people.

Please get in contact if you have any questions, queries, or if needing more photos, Cheers

  2. Bit of an update: bike is still up for grabs.
The registration expires on the 2/5, which is obviously in a few weeks, but more than happy to work out a suitable deal and renew it for the new owner.
New pictures coming soon, with the Saddle Bags as well.
