Smoky Exhaust

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by jate, Oct 16, 2006.

  1. Hi,

I just bought the blue CBR250RR from the user selling it on the forums, I have noticed two things that concerned me.

    1) I dont think my choke leaver does anything. I dont notice any difference?

    2) I have noticed that my exhaust is smoky. ie. you can actaully see the air that is coming from the exhaust, when normally on other bikes/car its clear?

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

  2. What colour is the smoke?
I'd be guessing if you don't 'think' the choke is doing anything that it might be stuck on causing it to run horrible rich, which is also causing the smokey exhaust.
  3. EDIT:

Ive ask my friend who was with me....it was like a grey/white color....something not totally black smoke.. but not clear either.

My friend said he remembers the smell of some unburnt fuel too, which is really in line with what you are saying.

If the choke is "stuck" how can I go abotu fixing this?
  4. dw thats normal
    nothing to worry about.
