  1. Tonight I rode 50 mins in pouring rain, in full traffic on my bike. Have owned it 2 weeks now.

When I come to a stop, the bike would start steaming out of all the holes available (e.g. out of the intakes, out of the vents etc).

I am assuming this is normal as water hits the hot parts of the engine block it instantly evaporates?

Was a funny site in traffic and steam billowing out of the vents.
  2. Probably just rain on hot parts, but keep an eye out in case there is something more.
  3. it's absolutely normal.
  4. Yep completely normal but scares the crap outta you the first time. I thought my bike was about to explode then noticed 3 others around me doing the same thing. I was in panic mode from seeing steam that I didn't even put 2 and 2 together with the water and hot engine.
  5. it's not smoke. it's called steam. google it.
