slave cylinder pitting

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by Rip, Aug 3, 2009.

  1. I'm currently stripping the front callipers on the VFR (one side was dragging). After cleaning a fair bit of concreted on gunk off the pistons, there's some minor pitting around the top edge (the side closest to the pad).

So interms of pitting, how much is too much?
  2. A pic of the pittng would be helpful.
  3. inside the oil seal or outside. If it's outside, don't worry.

Is it the pistons or the caliper? If it's the pistons, then some piston kits come with the pistons. So you could just put a kit in.
