NSW Single Side Controls - Ignition etc

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by Marick, Jan 9, 2016.

  1. Hey,

Just wondering if anyone is able to shed some light on whether single sided controls/switches are compliant with NSW motorcycling road laws?

Ive recently replaced my ignition/kill switch with a single control unit on the left side of the bars. Its never caused me any issues, however as Im looking at selling the bike Im now wondering if its actually legit.

  2. Scooters often dont have kill switches. I doubt if its a legal requirement.
  3. You would have to look at the Australian Design Rules (ADR) or talk to the technical staff at RMS.
