And the shots from the eureka thread.
what zoom u got on the moon?
420mm from a 120-300mm f2.8 lens and a 1.4 teleconverter.
A couple of mine taken whilst working in China with either my Nikon D50 or D80 (all except the third shot hand-held):
Sunrise on top of Tai Shan (complete with sensor dust )
Chuan Cheng (Spring City) square in Jinan, Shandong Province
Shandong University of Science and Technology Huangdao campus
Fruit stand in Tai Dong night market, Qindao, Shandong province
Love the fruit shot!! Nicely composed.
Eberbachl those last 2 shots are wonderful.
Thanks very much! I appreciate the kind comments ;-)
Yours are nice too smee! I love the last image... nice vibrant colours!
The image of the University building with it's reflection in the lake was about half an hour after sunset on a tripod with around a 20 sec exposure on my D50 with 18-70mm kit lens from memory.
The fruit stand shot was at the wonderful Tai Dong night market in the city of Qingdao... late at night hand held with my 50mm f1.8 lens - I think that was with my D50 also. I'd like the bokeh in the top left to be a bit softer, but hey - it is what it is
For specifics I could look up the EXIF data later if anyone's really keen.
Shot these nearly 4 years ago, just after sunset, from the roof of the office building above Charring Cross station in London.
I was shooting with a 350D that I barely knew how to use.
Then this is what happens right before you enter a Black Hole... or when you forget to tighten the tripod head:
These shots were the first time that i had ever tried taking photos at night. I didn't have a tripod, so in the photos of the resort i put the camera on the railing or fixed object, but the Bangkok panorma was done using the back of the computer chair in our room and my left arm as a monopod lol.
Awww I have a good one of my bike at night. Better not disobey..
Smee and Eberbachl...delicious photos!
Post it in the bike section of the photography forum
Out and about in Melbourne at night.
under the bolte.
One of many night photos from my first and unforgettable Euro trip last year:
(1) Charles Bridge, Prague
(2) Colosseum, Rome
(3) Ponte Vecchio (old bridge), Florence
I'm not trying to show off my photos, but rather inspiring every biker on this forum to visit these places at least once in their life.
My dream is to lean a Ducati or Triumph across the winding roads of the Italian Alps across into the French side, which I had the privilege of witnessing from the train .... yes I seriously wanted to accost some of those riders and steal their ride to take over! :biker:
Mate you must have been there early to get a shot of it like that, it's normally full of backpackers pissing in it.
Nobby Great shots!!!!
