/never buying an iPod until you don't require iTunes to use the prick.
Ktuli there are a whole bunch of programs that remove the need for iTunes, many of them free. I use Winamp with a freeware plug-in that leaves iTunes for dead.
thats still not going to stop people thinking its bulletproof haha , i see a new ipod marketing campain already...

The full story with the soldier quoted indicates he wasnt listening to it while on patrol he was just wearing it.
when he got back to barracks to listen to it nothing happened so he had a look at it then discovered it was damaged.
