Short person CBR250ra

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by Gyroside, Jun 21, 2016.

  1. Hi all

Just got my wife her first bike a 2012 CBR250RA which she loves but is having a bit of trouble with the height, I didn't really want to get into this but i think we may have to look into lowering options it's just your bit too tall for her.
It's doesn't need to much 15-20mm would do it.

Does anyone know adescent upholsterer in Sydney that does quality memory foam seats?

    Alternatively lowering kit options?

though really not keen on them but I think it may be needed

Please help me Thankyou in advance

  2. Being a shortie my self, id recommend trying lowering links first . I have roaringtoyz adjustable links on my z300 and you can increase the height as she gets more confident. I tend to leave shaving the seat as last option .. i like my comfort especially with long distance rides :p

First bike yamaha R15 - i had to shave the seat by 2.5cm plus 4cm lowering link .
Z300 - Just lowering link , no idea by how much but original seal height was already 2cm lower than the R15
