I did a search and couldnt find anything. My main question is a how long until a bike is warmed up enough to thrash it (without undue wear I mean). I have a 6 km commute and the mechanics are telling me lots of short rides are bad for the bike and gums it up. They say thrash on weekends which I do but after about 5kms on my commute I have the opportunity to thrash it a little. Should I do that daily? Im probably more worried about the bike becoming slower than I am about wear. I know its a fine point but I want to understand more about how the bike works.
