Setup Akira Boots

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' at netrider.net.au started by Gobbledegeek, Sep 14, 2007.

  1. Could anyone tell me whether the Akira boots from Setup (http://www.setupaustralia.com/sf/enter.html) would be suitable for road riding, as opposed to off-road?

Oh crap! Wrong forum! Could a kind Mod please move to kit reviews or somewhere appropriate, please? Thanks.
  2. You can wear whatever you want on the road, these will certainly be solid and protective, however they are designed for offroad use and you will find it very bloody difficult to move your ankles AT ALL.

Especially, to change gear or use the rear brake gently will be almost impossible until you soften the boots up, get used to them, and adjust the pedal positions.

Choose a road boot instead, unless you have a specific reason.
  3. Pagin Dr Mod ;)
  4. The ball is rolling..
