  1. All,

Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th at Lakeside Raceway

Gates open at 7.30am track action starts a 9.30am

Late notice but If you have nothing planned for Saturday I though this might be interesting to go an check out, any excuse to take the bike for a squirt is always a good one.

The Lord of the Lake is Queensland's premiere Historic Motorcycle event. Held at the iconic Lakeside Park, North of Brisbane, it is the perfect setting to experience historic bikes.

Lord of the Lake is a two day event which started in 2015. With historic bikes and side-cars from periods 2 to 5 (Period 5 bikes 500cc and below) there is a huge amount of action and a must for any bike enthusiast. This remains as the only competitive bike met at Lakeside Park, with Classic Bike events and Moto Ride Days being the recreational options for new and historic bike riders.

  2. I was going to race at this, then changed my mind. A few mates still are, but not many.

Spectating will cost you $20 Sat, $30 Sunday or $40 for a weekend pass.

I won't go into what I know behind the scenes, but it is a far cry from Queensland Premier Historic Event as Queensland Raceway like to claim, but it is a good chance to get out and see some Historic racing close to Brisbane. Last year was pretty big, this years grids, not so much.

  3. Thanks for the extra info Colonel Coleman, I didn't go last year and I wasn't sure if it ran on Sunday or not.

I'm thinking of going for a look tomorrow wth my uncle, more of an excuse to get out and about on the bikes.
