Segway Centaur

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by Gromit, Aug 3, 2005.

  1. Here's the link:

"Concept Centaur combines proprietary dynamic stabilization technology with advanced propulsion and suspension systems, and an intuitive user interface to create a unique four-wheel device that is easily controllable on two or four wheels.

Its full suspension and aggressive rider positioning provide an exhilarating ride for one or two people while maintaining control over a variety of terrain. Its rugged performance, zero emissions, and quiet operation make it a good low-impact way to explore the world."

Okay, so it's slow and they aren't going to produce it. Looks cool though! :)

  2. Hmm, looks like a naked version of one of those pensioner-mobiles.
  3. ...what a way to say it's got 4 wheels :p :p :p :p
  4. Apparently it's gyroscopically stabilised like the 2-wheelers. So you can pop a wheelie and keep 'em up there as long as you like!
  5. Rich kids' toys, I think.
  6. Check out the video for it.. looks like a lot of fun, especially if the gyroscope stuff all works once we dump the 'busa engine in it :D
