Seat removal - Kawa EL 1994

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by klidgard, Nov 4, 2009.

  1. Hi All, Was just wondering if anybody knew how to remove the seat on a 1994 Kawa EL? I have removed all bolts I can see and can't work it out. I'm trying to put in a new battery. Also how difficult is it to replace the bars on a bike and the instrumentation on them? The bars fitted are a bit too cramped for me!! Thanks in advance!!

My apologies if I posted this in the wrong section.
  2. If it's anything like my '88 zxr (which I doubt it will be) there's a lever in the pillion seat compartment you can pull and it just pops up.

Might be an idea to search for a service manual if you don't have any luck.
  3. Thanks. I already looked but no luck. I think a service manual would be the way to go.

  4. Can u lift a corner on the rear of the seat to reveal a screw?
  5. All good!! I worked it out. You take out the screws then slide off whilst lifting up the back of the seat!!

    Thanks for all the help!!
