Safari fuel tanks

  1. can anyone tell me whether an XR600 and an XR400 have the same fuel tank mounting points? and is the fuel cock located in the same positition??

  3. thanks mate, after trawling ebay for hours i actually found that the XR 250 and 400 have common mounts. and the tanks only cost $220USD!!! assuppose to 520AUD here!
  4. That's correct - the XR6 mounts are different but the Acerbis 21L tanks can be adapted to fit all three. I have an XR250/400 Acerbis for my TTR when I was still doing big desert trips. The front and rear mounts are just made of 4mm thick aluminium sheet, and I adapted a bit of hollow section to catch the front of the seat behind the tank.
