saddle bags

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by Greens07c50, Apr 17, 2009.

  1. Has anyone modified throw over saddle bags to hard back and if so what did you use.

I have cut a template for the inside of the bag Just undecided on what material to make it out of.

Was thinking 1/4 inch persprex as its hard enough to with stand vibration as MDF would just flog out
  2. Suggest perspex is a bit brittle, strength for weight I'd use 4 or 5mm plywood. Give it a couple of coats of paint/varnish and it'll last for years. Also very cheap and easy to work with.
