  2. Nicely done, I'm a big fan of those stubby cans.. Just got one from Ixil racing, very similar design only matte black instead of carbon.

    Sounds epic compared to stock, and with 3 choices of baffling is even better..

    Looking forward to some pics

    This is a dyno chart from akro, qld raceway here we come

    Have a set of rearset on the way
    my observation on this bike so far only had slick mode and rev limiter removed for 48 hrs

    difference in the ride modes

    Mode: Rain: Power is cut to 150 bhp, reduced torque, and the
    throttle response is more gentle.
    * The braking force is applied to both front and rear wheels (partially
    integral brakes)
    * Rear wheel ABS operates even when only the rear foot brake is used
    * The system detects if the rear wheel is lifting
    * Wheelie protection operates
    * Reduces rear wheel spin
    * Increased traction and stability even when the frictional coefficient
    spikes suddenly

    2. Power Mode: Sport (which is the default setting): Full power (193 at the \
    crank, approx 183 rwhp) with a fast but smooth throttle response.
    * The braking force is applied to both front and rear wheels (partially
    integral brakes)
    * Rear wheel ABS operates even when only the rear foot brake is used
    * The system detects if the rear wheel is lifting
    * Wheelie protection operates
    * DTC is slower to intervene than in Rain Mode, so slight drifts are
    possible when exiting corners

    3. Power Mode: Race: Full power but instant throttle response.
    * The braking force is applied to both front and rear wheels (partially
    integral brakes)
    * Rear wheel ABS operates even when only the rear foot brake is used
    * No rear wheel lift detection
    * Wheelie protection operates
    * DTC even slower to intervene so longer drifts and brief wheelies are
    possible when exiting corners

    4. Power Mode: Slick (coding plug required to be inserted): Full power with
    an aggressive and instant throttle response.
    * The braking force is applied to both front and rear wheels (partially
    integral brakes)
    * ABS does not operate when only foot brake is used
    * No rear wheel lift detection
    * Wheelies allowed up to a lean angle of 23 degrees and for up to 5
    seconds.

    what do I think of this beast.
    It does run quite hot in town 85-100 but I do live in nq
    A shifter takes a bit of getting used to but nice touch by BMW has a launch control of such at the right revs the shifter light comes on. Did find the standard shock it bit soft but I like a hard shock so could be me,and the standard steering damper had very little adjustment for my liking.
    otherwise very impressed and a v quick bike and pretty forgiving.Would I buy one again absolutely.

  9. I've heard instances where taking the rev limiter off actaully resulted in seizing the engine, So please watch out as that is a bloody beautiful bike you got there! very impressive!
