RIP Peter 'Pip' Borrman

  1. Well it made all the news, so perhaps you've seen it, but a tragedy occurred on Wednesday afternoon at Shepparton, when one of Australia's best stunt pilots, Peter 'Pip' Borrman, crashed his plane out near the Kialla Lakes development. He was a regular feature at the Avalon airshow and well known and liked in Shepparton, owning a local business as well as operating his stunt company there.

The kids and I were up there only on Sunday (my folks have a house at Kialla Lakes) watching him practicing in the aircraft he ultimately crashed.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Some pics I took of him on Sunday

I used to operate out of Moorabbin and loved goin to work on a sunday to find the aerodrome closed for all arrivals and departures for 5 minutes as the beautiful Edge 540 VH-PIP tore through the skies.

Awesome to watch and great to see how it should be done.
