RIP Dennis Hopper

  1. Dennis Hopper, director and co-star of Easy Rider, one of the all-time cult motorcycle films, is dead. Hopper played Billy, who with his fellow rider Wyatt (aka Captain America) played by Peter Fonda, star as a couple free wheeling individuals who ride across US in one of the most iconic road movies ever. Despite the low budget production the film was a box office hit and also helped launch the career of Jack Nicholson.

  2. Caught the tail-end of that report on the news tonight. That film helped usher in a new era of film-making. Think Hopper also appeared in Rebel Without A Cause, although I seem to recall him from Rumblefish and some of his more recent work. Enjoyed his work, very talented.
