Rev limiters/cut-outs

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by rc36, Aug 19, 2005.

  1. At what revs does your rev limiter cut in??

    (on your bike, that is!!)

My VFR won't rev past the 11500 redline.

  2. I don't really approach the rev limiter because there is a considerable taper in the power curve. :)
  3. hmmm never tried. now that i've had it serviced though i might be more willing to give it some and find out.

    ohh yeah, that too
  4. 13000, but the power curve is pretty flat after 10.

I'd rev it to 11, if i were hamering it and had little regard for my undies
  5. Mine electronically cuts out at 11500rpm.

for a large capacity bike the 12's, love to rev
(Max Power at 11000 rpm, max torque at 8000 rpm)

For this reason, many dont like the power delivery of the 12.

Me I love it, cause generally it scares the crap out of me.
