Replacing Leather Jacket

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by presti, Apr 29, 2010.

  1. G'day guys, tonight the zip on my leather jacket broke. Its a custom jacket my dad got made up for him in the early 80's so im thinking its going to be expensive to put a new zip on. But to help prevent me wearing it out further, i was wondering if you have had any good experiences with the alternative jackets with Armour? Obviously i feel very safe in the leather and, got forbid if i do come off, i feel that the leather would hold up better than the kevlar jeans.

Is it worth saving up and getting a new leather jacket, or do the alternative jackets give enough support and safety that they would do?
