replacement chin strap

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by kyan, May 13, 2010.

  1. I have an AGV helmet and the strap is wearing pretty bad. Can you replace chin straps at all?... or is it a good excuse to tell the wife I need a new helmet!

  2. Nope. It's dead.
    Go shopping.
  3. New helmet time!!! =D>
  4. It's dead. Though on the plus side, I am looking for a hanging plant pot....
  5. lol it will make a nice hanging pot! thanks for the replys
  6. Just out of interest, how is it wearing? Rubbing through the D-ring I assume? I don't think I've ever had a chin strap show signs of wear.
  7. AFAIK, there is no mechanism in place to actually replace a strap. They are permanently attached and can't be removed without damaging the strap and the attachment point. Besides, if the strap is that badly damaged, the helmet is probably showing fair signs of age and wear too. Yep, new helmet time.
