Repairing Fuel Tank

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' at netrider.net.au started by noobie_rider, Jun 28, 2006.

  1. Hey Guys,

I dropped my CBR250R and the fuel tank is dinted and scratched.
How much would it be to repair and respray the fuel tank?
Anyone know of a good place in the western suburbs (VIC)?

    Thanks

  2. Firstly consult the paintless dent removers guys in your area. Much cheaper. If they can't do it, then look into the respraying.

  3. Apologies for draggin up an old post.

But I'd like to know if the usual panel beaters will do as good a job on bike fuel tanks than a proper bike shop.

I dropped the bike yesterday and the pre-exisiting dent is now bigger (about the size of a mintslice) and surrounded with a fair amount of scratching/flaking paint. Any recommendations as to where to take it around Melbourne's east side? I wouldn't mind a new paint job too how much is that likely to cost? (with some racing stripes)
