Rego and insurance

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' started by Drew, Dec 16, 2005.

  1. looking at associated costs with my maybe pruchase of doer-upper.

    Bike: Kwaka Gpz250 1985

Insurance online quote from RACV (got everything else with them)
    3rd Prty $91
    Comprehensive $119
    Excess $400

Still need to get licence which is about $190

    Rego about $360

Do these figure sound about right? Anything else?

Im not including my riding gear as they are a no brainer( $800-$1200)
  2. Doer-upper eh? :p
  3. well an ebay special.... :p

with some bits to buy after...... and yes i'm trying to get an inspection before bidding.

well got costs for rego no so all is ok

should see me on the road for about 1500 i think + gear.
  4. Don't forget ~$70 for a RWC (depending where you go and how legit the RWC is  )
  5. Stamp duty on the price of the bike. Can't remember exactly the calculation but it works out to about $200 in $5000 so on an 85 GPX it should be stuff all. :)
  6. pictures look good drew
