Re-reading old mags

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by nobby, Jun 1, 2011.

  1. Been doing some cleaning up lately and have come across a stash of old TwoWheels Mags, currently re-reading the June 1993 edition, the bikes being reviewed are the "Sleek Seeking Missile Kawasaki ZZ-R1100" and the "Triumph Daytona 1200"

There is a great wrap up on the 1993 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix,
(500cc) held at Eastern Creek and won by Kevin Schwantz, but which included Daryl Beattie, Mat Mladin in his GP debut, an injured Mick Doohan riding with broken wrist, and the great Freddie Spencer.

A look back at the life of Jarno Saarinen's impact on GP racing.

Also a look at Honda's Daishin tweeked NR750.

An article by Rooth on the recent Heathcote drags, the telling comment being "We ride bikes, so I guess we're used to harassment, but never in any way should citizens of a democratic country be harrassed and hassled to the degree exhibited by Victoria's finest" not much has changed since 1993.

    Bloody interesting reading,
