Re cutting out

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by .thomo, Nov 27, 2010.

  1. Re cutting out. Sorry about the wrong thread guys.
My Honda Deauville NT700V. Goes alright on highway, pull up at lights, idles ok, takes off goes 10 metres and it stop in the middle of the intersection. Very dangerous
    Thanks .thomo

  2. any more information than that?
  3. How does it cut out:

    a) Stall
    b) Electrical - your dash tacho and speedo hits 0 despite still moving and the engine 'running' albeit revving down.

If 8) then check the connections to your battery terminals, I had the same thing happen to me. The bolt may have come out or something.

Does your bike have a fuel pump?
  4. Yes , more info please. After it stops how do you get home? It starts again and runs OK? Push it? Get someone else to push it?
  5. take it to a mechanic - sounds like they'd know what to do a little more than you do.
