Do most bikes support raising and lower the handle bars?
Unless you have "clip ons", you can get a set of "risers" in varying heights 20 to about 55mm and cost about $60
Your local shop will know your handlebar width and give you the right size. Cables should be OK, but check with them.
What kind of bike are you talking about? Some are easier than others.
Kawasaki ER-5 im looking at, however it could be any bike.
Like Toecutter said, you can bolt on aftermarket bars that will be higher. I would have thought you'd need to have new (longer) cables etc. made up for the controls, depending on how much higher, but get that checked out before you go ahead.
