Rack for Honda CBR125R

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by tmwt, Sep 3, 2013.

  1. My googling isn't getting me many options here. I would just prefer a flat metal rack that I could attach a plastic tub to myself. Could this be something that a bike shop could attach themselves? I would be happy and prefer the rack to go over the pillion seat.

At the moment I have found:
    - Ventura rack. Don't like the vertical divider they have on them.
    - Hong Kong rack. Could work. Is there a similar priced or cheaper option in Oz? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Trun..._Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a8450343d&_uhb=1
    - Givi from UK. Like the rack not the box. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HONDA-CB...K_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2ec9b85c6d&_uhb=1
    - Renntec from UK. Looks like what I want but has a limit of 5kg which is too light. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RENNTEC-...K_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item5d42b8438a&_uhb=1

  2. I attached an esky to my vtr250 with conduit and pipe saddles -- the whole thing was attached to the bike with bigger pipe saddles bent all the way around to allow a bolt to go through. Did the job but limited the under seat access. I've now got a $70 magnetic tank bag for day-to-day stuff and the option of tying on bigger loads to the pillion seat when required.
