R6 tyre pressures??

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by R66, Oct 25, 2007.

  1. Hey All

Just reading through a few threads and havnt pin pointed what the tyre pressures for a 1999 R6 should be?

Looks as though peoples vary from bike to bike - fair enough!

I running 35 front 33 back is this in the ball park?

Also, does anyone know if it is possible to lower the rear brake pedal?

It would feel more comfortable if a little lower!

  2. Most sports bikes are 36 front, 42 rear (PSI)
  3. Check your manual. My Ducati runs at 34 front, 36 back
  4. I dont know how you can expect an answer. :? Gotta find what works for the tyres you're running, they can vary quite remarkably.
  5. As for adjusting the rear brake foot lever, you should be able to. It will have a locking nut on the plunger rod on the rear end of the lever.

This is on a 07 model, but the 99's have similer system.
