Question about riding to/from MotoGP from Melbourne

Discussion in 'Racing, Motorsports, and Track Days' at netrider.net.au started by grue, Sep 15, 2007.

  1. If I were to get to my bike and get on the road immediately after the checkered flag, how long of a ride should I expect to get back to Melbourne? I got some concert tickets for that night, and I'm not sure if I can make it from Philip Island -> Rod Laver Arena in 3.5 hours with post-race traffic.

  2. Ride up the shoulder at 100.

There shouldnt be any cops around. You'll be right.
  3. Surely it's no more than an hours travel right?

Wanna head from Adelaide to PI and back, via the great ocean road on a sportsbike?

  4. Easy peezy. 2.5 hours tops. Concert wont start right on time anyway.

The only thing you need to worry about is if there is some sort of disruption and the race gets delayed.
  5. +1 what vic said.
