  1. Hi all,

I am looking to get back into some track days here in Qld but I'll admit the options are a little disappointing. I think my last serious day out was back when Darlington Park was open in Ormeau; really nice track and fun times. Before that I was living in Sydney close to Eastern Creek where much fun was had :)

My question is looking at QR layout it seems quite small and quite frankly looks (on paper at least) a little boring. For anyone out there that has experience out at the track care to provide some insight and hopefully positive feedback?

  2. Check out the ASBK footage on YouTube for QR.

You've also got Morgan Park to consider.
  3. Thanks for the heads up about Morgan Park. Didn't even know it existed.

Still not overly sold on QR looking at videos but will probably give it a go; might be surprised.
  4. Try them all and see how you feel, QR, MP and Lakeside if you are gambling man. The nature of QR is that is punishes brakes, gearboxes and RHS of your rear tyre.
  5. Cheers Richi, With regards to Lakeside my reading seems to indicate noise restrictions in play? Pretty positive my 1198 won't pass the noise test there without DB-Killers or the like in. It had some significant work done by Ducati prior to original delivery and not the quietest bike on the block.
  6. Morgan Park is a track that has a bit of connection between corners - it's no Phillip Island but it is enjoyable - hard work on a big bike to go fast!
motorcyclesportsmen.com.au run the track days and racing at Morgan Park. If you join the club this year you get discount on racing and track days next year. So if you are going to do 4+ track days over 2014 it's worth it - if you are planning a few race meets it's essential!

  7. Strangely ducs seem to get by at lakeside if stock, but buzzy inlines, full sustems or 2strokes can forget it. They (champions) have noise gear at qr to test bikes as they go past, its free, gives u an idea anyway although accuracy is questionable. Agree with Simon, MP is miles ahead of the others in terms of linkage and flow, def worth a drive.

  8. I enjoyed my weekend at MP. Seemed like a good track with a bit of everything in it (except a loop-the-loop, that would be awesome).
