Qld : Lake Manchester, Ideal for newer riders

Discussion in 'Roads, Touring, Journeys, and Travel' at netrider.net.au started by Rustgold, May 29, 2011.

  1. Went to Lake Manchester near Ipswich to try to close in on the location of a gremlin.

Anyway, the route is ideal for any newish biker rider who wants an introductory taste of rural motorbike riding. The road is 60kmh to 80kmh, and a mistake wouldn't generally be the end of the world. There's a small section of safe dirt road thrown in, but it's tame & nothing to be scared of.

  2. nice 1.
motowhere seems great idea as well, signed up and found some good mapped out rides done up for the Goldy Hinterlands, excellento.
  3.  Top
  4. Unfortunately, there's no standards to the routes done on Moto & a majority of routes done are no better (& sometimes worse) than simply looking at a roadmap. The majority of Moto listed routes need to be cleared out & done properly, but the operator doesn't give a stuff.

I wish that I knew how to do a site in competition to it because there's so much improvement that's possible.

Anyway rant over, I intend to put up more of my routes.
  5. Some interesting pics mate! I've book-marked your link and I think I'll be going for a blast around there (considering I'm a newbie). Thanks so much for the spot mate :)
