Putty road getting on

  1. Extension to my original question on the Putty Road.

    From woolongong what is the best way to bypass Sydney and get on the Putty road.

  2. Easy.

    Travel up Mt Ousley till you reach the junction of the F6 freeway, which dives off in two lanes to the left, just before the turn-off on the right to Bulli Pass. Travel straight ahead, past the entrance to the Pass, and then take the road to Appin, which is the majority road.

    From Appin travel to just before Campbelltown, where you slip left onto the road to Narellan.

    Left at Narellan and then right onto the road to Penrith, past Oran Park Raceway.

    Cross the Great Western Highway at Penrith, past Llandillo, and into the bottom end of Windsor.

    Through Windsor, over the river bridge, past the market gardens to Wilberforce, fuel up at the little servo there and hit the Putty.....
