Push rod grease recommendation

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by green_envy, Feb 7, 2010.

  1. Hi guys & girls,

I'm currently in the process of replacing the clutch of my ZXR250A and I'm not sure which molybdenum disulfide grease to apply to the push rod.

If anyone has a recommendation of which grease to use it would be greatly appreciated.

Please excuse my ignorance but it is the first time I've attempted clutch replacement so it's all very new to me.

    Cheers

  2. Pop over to Supercheap or preferably Repco, they will be able to tell you which grease to use. Molybdenum disulfide is what the grease is made out of, any brand will work.

If you go to Supercheap don't expect too much help, but the container will usually state what the grease is.

  4. use "Rubber Grease" Don't use any other sort, as grease rots rubber. The seal will thank you.
