proposed 'safety' intitiative in UK?

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by bikeboy, Aug 16, 2006.

  1. Just wondering if any of you have seen this little gem?

gotta love the way everyone's figuring out things to do with the 'new technology'

  2. Fine as long as the system goes on every single vehicle on the road. (which won't happen).
How about a mandatory 50km/h limit. Everywhere? That would save lives too. Here is some more:
No smoking - don't sell em
    No drinking alcohol
    No fatty foods
    No high risk sports
etc etc etc "That would save lives!"

I really hope that dosen't happen here. :eek:hno:
  3. yeah heard about it a while ago.

I know the presenters on TOP GEAR have some nice opinions of Stephen Ladyman....he hates cars as well aparently!!
  4. Total failure to understand the physics and dynamics of riding a two wheeler!
Cutting power in a corner will inevitably destabilise the bike, FFS.
How in the name of Dog to fruitcakes like this mange to get into decision-making positions? Need to know ANYTHING about about a subject before making policy that directly affects peoples lives and safety??? Hell, no! Just go ahead and do it anyway.
