prob with speedo

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by suzukigirl123, Dec 27, 2008.

  1. my speedo on my gsxr 600is out by 20ks when im at 100k any ideas on where to go to get it looked at, any help would be appriciated

  2. I'd bet the gearing has been altered from standard.

A one tooth smaller countershaft sprocket is a very popular modification on 600's but unfortunately it affects the speedometer accuracy.

You'd need to return to standard gearing or fit a speedo-healer.
  3. i got the sprocket changed back to standard but still 20k out so will try thr speedo healer thanks for your help
  4. Then it probably already has a speedo healer on it, just find out where it is and take it out.
  5. thanks will have a look
