Premature buying

  1. Here's my query.
    I am currently in ACT, and i am nearing the end of my Provisanal licence.
    And i am wanting to purchase a new bike in ACT before moving to WA. Looking at a SV650s.
    Question is can i buy a bike from a dealership, whilst on P plates.

  2. short answer is yes. you can register and insure the bike under your name, however you're not legally allowed to ride it on the road.

    most dealers wont knock back a sale due to an illegal test ride, they'll just make sure that u sign somthing stating if you break it, u bought it.

    You can do whatever you want on P's
  4. Not in NSW/ACT. LAMs rules still applies to P platers. He can ride a 650, but just not one as powerful as an SV...
