power commander info

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' at netrider.net.au started by dgmeister, Jun 12, 2012.

  1. i have just got a 2003 r6

its fuel injected, and has a remus slip on can.
it is running way too lean in this cold weather.
(i know how to tune carbs, but not EFI)

Can you select different stock maps or is there only the one?

Is power commander the only/best way to adjust fuel maps?

Are they any good using a pre made map? (without dyno tune)

Any product reviews/info/links would be useful

i just need to get the right amount of fuel mixed with the air.
I did not get the stock can with the bike.

  2. I think cobra do a similar thing to power commander. Not sure if one is better than the other. I have the power commander pc5 on my Suzuki m90. I think there are standard maps available but power commander says to keep your warranty you should get it mapped by a professional. They can dyno it once its installed and tweek it to specifically suit your bike.

  3. You realy need a custom map to suit your bike. There are maps on the Powercomander site but most if not all are from bikes in the US. There are atmospheric differances between the US and Australia and every engine is different.
