pilot activ tyres

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by oz_johnno, Aug 24, 2011.

  1. I just brought a pair of these for beryl. they are supposed to be a replacement for the michelin macadams.

has anyone here had any experience with these tyres ??

  2. Running these on the Beemer but only done about about 500km since changeover, so can't realy comment. Due to crap in my life I haven't been riding much at weekends and am not getting out on the beemer much.

Like you I understand they are the replacement for the Macadams and are a single compound Sports/Touring tyre allegedly giving a a compromise between good wear and good grip. I understand they are not as grippy as the Road Pilots (they don't make these in the size for my bike) but hopefully give better wear. Although I don't think I got that much wear out of the old Macadams I replaced.

Why do you ask? Are you having issues?
