  1. ok, al ye sms mobile phone experts.

can somebody tell me if it is normal for all ph numbers displayed when i get an sms to be displayed with the international country code (au 61) ?

this could be the cause of all me problems ay.
  2. narh not a problem with your fone...
i get that with my fone as well
i do believe its becuase that your mobil can be used internationally
so there for it will always do the +61 thing

  3. so can i send messages by dialing a 'normal' (0434826954) au phone and i dont have to do 61 434 826 954 but this still would work
  4. oh yeah.... no probs there bro
  5. Generally when an unknown mobile calls/sms' your phone (even if its in Australia as well) it will display the number in its entirety. For the purposes of saving the number directly into the phone (rather than entering it in yourself) you can allow the phone just to leave it as +614XXXXXX or whatever, or you can, of course, change it to the standard 10 number format.
  6. Every phone (fixed or mobile) world wide has a unique number which of course includes the country code so all our phones have the +61 in front whether it leaves the country or not.
  7. You can use either number, with or without the +61
