phillip island good for beginners?

Discussion in 'Roads, Touring, Journeys, and Travel' started by ibanezboy21, Dec 29, 2009.

  1. thinking of cruising around philip island, is it safe for beginners?
havn't been there in like 4 years so i dont remember the road/weather conditions

please feel free to recommend other roads as well

  2. The circuit or roads on the island? Anyhoo...yes and yes either way IMO

Though weather conditions...lol they get some decent storms at times!

If you are heading down there a great route is Powelltown > Neerim Junction > Warragul > Korumburra > Wonthaggi > PI

Best roads in that area IMO and way less boring than the Hwy. Learner would be fine riding at own pace.
  3. There's just one thing to be said for the weather at Phillip Island: If you don't like it, just hang about for ten minutes.
  4. Hey man when i get my bike back (mid jan is what was stated) i'm heading down to the island. Should we maybe try organise a small group of learners to go on a ride to the island and back one weekend? Because i am highly interested in doing so.
